Our Australian Rainforests are so special. For a landscape painter they present specific problems – making moss look like moss. There is so little left compared to what used to be here .I love painting the texture of moss and it needs patience and lots of time to produce something that appears real and velvety. It is a technique I am working on and hopefully improving all the time.
