GREAT WEATHER FOR FUNGI
As my studio has been damp and growing its own fungi in the form of mould – I decided to head for my local rainforest gully with camera in one hand and umbrella in the other. For some time now I have wanted to paint a series of small fungi paintings but never really had enough interesting material. Yesterday changed that. This humid, warm and very wet weather has delivered some stunning fungi in am amazing range of colours. And all only a few minuted from my home.
So hopefully in the future I will be able to bring about my series of paintings.
The photograph is of a beautiful fungus called a veiled lady fungus – Phallus Indusiatus and is of the stinkhorn family. And it did stink!!
